Mademoiselle Maurice takes origami to the streets. From a small, perfect, intricate formed fold (in fact 30 000 of them) – she creates bright colourful installations – portraits, thoughts and wonderful rainbows that she sprinkles across towns and cities.
For this project in Angers, France – she involved the local folks. Holding origami workshops in leisure centres, schools, kindergardens and even prisons. Making the Angevins the heart of a collective work. When the day came to install the pieces – hundreds of people showed up to help. Young, old, retired, rich, poor: collaborating to create art.
